Seriously, fuck it. It's both the world cup opening and valentine's day, which means TV will be either soccer or girly movies.

In what country is today Valentine's Day? Today is Loving Day in the U.S., but that's something different.

That's what the PS3 is for my frie-
* suddenly remembers the huge taxes Brazil levies against game consoles*
-er...Real Racing 3! Yeah, that's what I meant.

Valentine's day was in February, last time I checked.

Hells yeah, I'm on it already! Road to Le Mans is the most fun I've had with this game ever. I already won two completely free cars, a Dodge Viper SRT and a 911 GT3 Cup, the 919 Hybrid they gave me is a beast, and I already had over 100 gold and 300 thousand bucks saved up in case upgrading the car was one of the goals. Which it was. Right now, I still have to wait for the "team" to analyze the data from the last race at Catalunya (3 laps cup where I lapped a whole field of 919s) so I can buy drivetrains upgrades, but the way things are going, there's no way I'm not finishing this thing.

Yeah, well it happens, specially when it's forced down your throat since childhood, and you're the weirdo because you like cars, not soccer. When shit like that happens, you don't turn around and start loving soccer, you hate it even moar!

You need to check again, while keeping in mind that some global holidays may or may not start at the same day in every country.

That's why I don't care for most sports!

No, it's June. Valentines day is in February. Your girl/wife/partner is lying to you to get chocolate and watch chick flicks

It's different in Brazil. Valentine's Day there is celebrated in June.

Not here in Brazil, though...

Brazil, though I'm not sure our "dia dos namorados" is equivalent to Valentine's day. It's more like Lover's day or whatever, but people refer to it as Valentine's Day.

The Brazilian equivalent of Valentine's day is in June. On the other hand, I don't have a girlfriend, so my biggest worry is that TV will suck today.

I am :p
I haven't been much active lately because life's been busy at college, and I've been taking some extra shifts so I can take a break during World Cup, when I will promptly leave Brazil and travel around South America for a while.

I was making a joke. Admittedly a bad one

Wait... isn't Valentine Day the 14th of February? What has changed while I was working?

The fuck that is Valentine day. Not in my calendar.

It is in Brazil.

Nope, in Brazil it's today. Though I'm not sure the parallel between Valentine's day and our Dia dos Namorados is correct, it would be more of a lover's day as opposed to whatever Valentine's day is.

Strike then?

Yeah, that was a whole lot of crap alright... The power grid on the street failed and the electrical company was on strike, so they didn't plan on fixing it for at least a month, then, thanks to the power fluctuations they caused, the whole front part of my apartment failed as well, and we had to redo all the wiring and fuseboxes. But at least everything seems to back to normal now.
